Touch-ups over natural wood color or on natural
colored wood with a thin glaze like this pickled kitchen door are the most
difficult of all touch-up to perform correctly. You need a near perfect
color match of the grain and base color with artful feathering of the
surrounding areas. To bring this color around, I also used an off white
glaze to give the touch-up a more natural look and that slightly grayish
translucent look. Lastly, apply a few top coats of the same sheen finish
to seal all the color work to the wood. The customer was very pleased with
the finish product. |
