Love Seat Restoration

Immediately after brushing out the glaze, "strike-out" (remove with a clean rag) all areas on the frame at the ware points (top and front of arms, center of the front rail, all raised sections of carvings and moldings, etc.) and re-brush to give the glaze a smooth gradual color transition from very dark in the corners and crevices to light on the highlighted areas. This process gives an item that natural mellow look that is obtained by years of use. What we are doing is producing a finish that looks like an old finish in excellent condition rather than an old piece of furniture with an obviously new finish.
