Next apply an even wet coat of sizing (gold leaf glue). Cover the new section and connecting detail area so that all the new leaf will not stop in the middle of the design. For small jobs like this use the fast drying size. On large jobs like striping a bedroom set, use the slow drying size. The fast sets up in 30 to 60 minutes and has a working time of about 30 minutes. The slow sets up in 8 to 12 hours with a working time of 3-6 hours.
